Facilitated by: Kate Newell, RECE This opportunity invites early years’ professionals working directly with preschool age children (2.5-4 years) to come together and collaboratively reflect on the unique joys and the challenges that come with transitions, independence, and the lead up to school. Participants are encouraged to share experiences, ideas and resources, offer one another support, listen, and ask thoughtful questions. Topics may include curriculum and programming ideas, communication, the environment, relationships, and so much more. Conversations emerging from this group will be ongoing. The success of a Community of Practice relies on shared reflection and the open exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge between members. Please come prepared to engage in meaningful conversation. Share any topic/conversation ideas you have in the designated areas during registration. Kate Newell is a Registered Early Childhood Educator passionate about the field of ECEC, with a focus on building safe and responsive relationships with children, families, and educators. She believes reflective conversations between educators are an important part of becoming an advocate for the early years sector. Preschool comes with many successes and challenges, and Kate is excited to explore them all.
