On Friday, April 24, at 7:30 pm, Gary's Gig will present Dave Shewchuk, an international violin virtuoso and current concertmaster of The Quinte Symphony, for his fourth solo performance in the city. The show will be held at The UpFront Cafe and Bar 313 Front Street in downtown Belleville. His previous shows sold out: the Rolling Stones at UpFront Cafe, a jazz show and his tribute to The Beatles at Theatre in The Wings. Shewchuk, has performed as a soloist across Canada, winning the hearts of audiences with stunning creativity and originality. He is a graduate of The Royal Academy of Music in London England, has performed with The Hamilton Symphony, The Ontario Philharmonic, The National Academy Orchestra, The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Arch Sinfonia and The London Graduate Orchestra just to name a few and now is well on his way to a diverse and exciting career in Canada. Currently he performs on an Antonio Stradivarius Faciebat 1710 replica, by Vittorio Formaggia Fece made in 2005. Tickets are $20 each and are available through Universe or by cash at the door.
