We told you to save the date After launching the very first Intersection edition in Montreal last May, we're thrilled to bring it to Ottawa during this amazing Pride season! Intersection: Ottawa Edition is coming to Club 27 on August 29 We couldn't be more excited! This event has been in the works for a long time, long before QUEEN & QUEER even existed. Whether we're from here or somewhere else, there's one thing that follows us everywhere: music. It brings us together, reminds us where we come from, and stays with us even as life changes. It carries pieces of our history, our roots, our memories, our joy, and everything we've lived through. It's part of who we are. Intersection of Afro, Latin and Middle Eastern sounds is a LESBOQUEER dance party where cultures and musical styles come together the way we love them: naturally, authentically, and full of energy! Expect a night filled with salsa, reggaeton, Latin house, house music, Latin & Afrobeats, amapiano, and electronic interpretations of sounds from North Africa and the Middle East. WHO WE ARE QUEEN & QUEER is more than a Montréal-based collective. We are a traveling queer collective creating events in different cities to connect, uplift, and celebrate queer communities wherever they thrive. We're not a big production company, just two passionate souls, Sam & Maryline, working without public funding to create safe, inclusive, and vibrant spaces for the lesboqueer community. OUR MISSION Beyond creating safe and joyful spaces for the lesboqueer community and its allies, our mission is to highlight and support women and gender-diverse artists, including DJs, dancers, and circus performers. MUSIC IS THE ANSWER QUEEN & QUEER events are safer spaces that prioritize LGBTQ2SIA+ women, non-binary and trans people, while warmly welcoming allies. We have zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind, including homophobia, sexism, transphobia, racism, or harassment. Our events celebrate diversity, inclusion, and joy.
