Music in Middle Grey presents Aaron Dimoff and Angela Gjurichanin An enchanted evening of show-stopping melodies from broadway This summer we have doubled the marvellous effect of having powerfully talented, rising Canadian opera singers perform for us in August. Aaron Dimoff has graced us with performances for sevreral summers, and now we've invited Angela Gjurichanin to join in a program of terrific Broadway standards, individually and as duets. This is a rare occasion to hear true operatic voices performing such pieces as Rogers & Hammerstein (You’ll Never Walk Alone, I Could Have Danced All Night), through Leonard Berstein and Stephen Sondheim (Maria from West Side Story), to Irving Berlin's Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better from Annie Get Your Gun and Andrew Lloyd Webber's All I Ask of You from The Phantom of the Opera, and many others. Well known to Middle Grey audiences from his several previous performances at Annesley, Markdale, Ontario-born Aaron Dimoff has been a versatile, powerful singer across Canada for over a decade. He holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Western University and a Bachelor of Music Honours in Voice Performance from Western University. He has established himself as a versatile and expressive artist on both concert and operatic stages. He has performed notable roles with Calgary and Edmonton Opera, the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto, with multiple Canadian orchestras and ensembles. Currently he is performing in the Toronto Opera 5 Festival. When not performing , he has a studio teaching voice, and piano at Long & McQuade London ON. Praised for her gentle and delicate tone (National Capital Opera Competition), Macedonian-Canadian soprano Angela Gjurichanin continues to establish herself as a versatile and expressive artist on both concert and operatic stages. Angela was named a finalist in the 2023 National Capital Opera Society Competition, won First Place in the 2022 Gordon Wallis Opera Competition, and was a District Winner in the 2021 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition (Western Canada). She holds a Master of Music in Literature and Performance from Western University(2022), and a Bachelor of Music Honours in Voice Performance from the University of Saskatchewan (2020). Angela has furthered her studies at the Stratford Summer Music Vocal Academy, the Against the Grain Theatre’s National Opera Intensive, and the Institut Canadien d’Art Vocal.
