Reporting claimed infringement
Browse Ontario respects intellectual property rights. If you believe material on the service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to legal@browseontario.ca.
Your notice should include:
- your physical or electronic signature,
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed,
- the URL or other precise location of the material you want removed,
- your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address,
- a good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized, and
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act.
Response and counter-notices
We may remove or restrict access to material while reviewing a complete notice and may notify the person who supplied it. That person may send a legally valid counter-notice to the same address. Misrepresentations in a notice or counter-notice may create liability, so consider obtaining legal advice before submitting one.
