Fronted by acclaimed singer, songwriter and guitarist Ian Thornley, Big Wreck has carved out a distinctive place in Canadian rock with soaring vocals, massive guitar tones and musicianship that continues to draw audiences decades into the band's career. Formed while Thornley and his bandmates were studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Big Wreck broke through with their 1997 debut, In Loving Memory Of, delivering enduring rock staples including 'The Oaf,' 'That Song' and 'Blown Wide Open.' After reuniting in the early 2010s, the band returned with Albatross and continued building an extensive catalogue that has kept Big Wreck firmly connected to rock audiences across Canada and beyond. Their latest full-length album, The Rest of the Story, arrived in October 2025, adding another chapter to a career spanning more than three decades.
